Hazel is an extension of your school health office. We partner with school nurses to support student health and close the gaps in equity and access.
1. Hazel at Home
With Hazel enabled for your school, students can access virtual doctor visits through Hazel without leaving home. Families can access this service any time they are remote learning, or when the school health office is closed. If your school is inviting students back to campus, this may include Hazel doctor visits available before school, as a check-in for parents who aren’t sure whether to bring their child to school. When students are remote learning, they can access a Hazel doctor on-demand using any device from home, alongside their parent or guardian.
Hazel learns your district health policies & exclusion criteria inside and out, working in full partnership with school nurses. We create a seamless experience for families and offer all services offered in both English and Spanish.
Hazel is temporarily offering doctor visits to all students at no cost – and waiving startup fees with new school district partners.
2. Hazel at School
The role of school health offices and nurses is more important than ever. If your schools do begin welcoming students back to school, we are able to partner with school nurses to provide instant access to doctors right from the school health office.
BEFORE SCHOOL CHECK-INS AT HOME
Parents can access Hazel from home when making the critical decision of whether to attend school that day. Following district health policies and fully integrating with the school, Hazel can help advise parents and can connect them with the care they need, before they come to campus.
STUDENT DOCTOR VISITS ON-DEMAND IN SCHOOL
With Hazel telehealth services at school, school nurses can call a doctor to evaluate a student on-demand from the school health office. Using a simple iPad setup, school nurses have a doctor on call just a few taps away at any time, for any student who may need extra evaluation or treatment. Hazel doctors can call in prescription medicines, can allow the school to administer over-the-counter medicines when needed, and can help connect families with the right local resource when further care is needed.
